This service will be replaced by service X7 and X11.
X7: Sunderland - Seaham - Dalton Park - Peterlee - Burnhope Way - Wingate - Station Town.
This service will be extended to Wingate and Station Town to enable direct links to Sunderland with an hourly frequency (Mon - Sat Daytimes). As a result of this extension, service 202 will be revised to operate Peterlee To Seaham only.
X9: Newcastle - Gateshead - Heworth - Dalton Park - Peterlee - Blackhall - Hartlepool - Seaton Carew - Billingham - Middlesbrough.
This service will operate via Blackhall/Hartlepool and Seaton Carew to open up new fast links to Middlesbrough and Newcastle. This service will continue to operate Hourly, although will no longer interwork with service X10. Also, this service will now operate on Sunday Daytimes offering combined frequencys with both service X5 and X10.
X10: Newcastle - Gateshead - Heworth - Peterlee A19 Slip Road - Norton - Stockton - Teesdale - Middlesbrough - Ormesby Crossroads - Non-Stop - Birk Brow - Scaling - Whitby - Robin Hood's Bay - Flyingthrope - Scarborough.
This service will be extended to Scarborough following the old X60 route from Middlesbrough, it will continue to operate hourly, although will be jointly operated by East Yorkshire. This service will no longer serve Dalton Park, with service X9 now operating into here.
X11: Sunderland - Ryhope - Dalton Park - Peterlee - A19 - Norton - Stockton - Teesdale - Middlesbrough - Coatham - Redcar.
This service will operate between Sunderland and Redcar under an hourly frequency, opening up new direct links from Sunderland to Middlesbrough aswell as Redcar and Stockton. The service will also reinstate the link to Dalton Park from Stockton, which will be lost with the X10 revision.
Can’t see any of that working, can’t see GNE entering areas down there in Arriva territory, and can’t see GNE doing anything south of Hartlepool to Middlesbrough as it stagecoach territory.
