As for the buses transferring between depots, timetables and various other things, there's multiple people involved, including external agencies, I don't see how this can affect a sole person?
I'm involved in updating a lot of AV equipment across the country and I haven't had to have the equipment turned off during a transition...
You must have more time than most people who work in the bus industry - perhaps you should help Arriva and Go North East out with their A/V systems?!
