It isn't frequent and it doesn't serve the hospital during visiting hours.
For the westward part of the route, its living in the shadow of the 27 for a big chunk. Even taking in to account the local journeys people might want to make on it, there's more chance of getting the 27, than the H1.
My point is if very few people are using the service between 2 points then whats the harm in re-routing a service where higher passenger numbers are to be anticipated?
