The technology will be able to "read" the 2-D matrix printed on the ticket. However, it will not have been been provided with an interpretation of that matrix that it can recognise as a ticket - what is needed is for each company's machines to be provided with the coding for a valid multi-operator ticket from the other companies. I'm sure it can't be difficult; however, it would require co-operation ......
