I might be missing something though.Both the 84/84A are mostly covered by other services run by Stagecoach, 84 does at least offer a unique link to the Metrocentre for the most part, doesn't really require anything more than what runs currently especially as it's a lightly used service mostly just used by OAPs going shopping at either the Metrocentre or Newcastle, a small section of the route is covered by the Nexus works service 941 too when the 84 isn't running.
The 84 I get but it's too infrequent so it's just as easy to go into Newcastle and back out for most people. They definitely shouldn't be more frequent paid by tax payers though.
