If DB see a long term future in Arriva or Arriva are takenover with investment, high spec coach seated E400MMCs with ZF gearboxes and 10.9M length would be ideal for the X15/X18. Obviously Arriva would need a clear cascade plan for when they'd be between 5-7 years old.
Alternatively, Scania N250UD E400MMC or OM936 StreetDeck also could be an option.
