41, 41A, 309, 310, 311, X39
Service 41 - Every 30 minutes
- No longer serves Hadrian Park during Monday to Saturday daytime, extended to Blyth via 309 route from Battle Hill.
Service 41A - Every 30 minutes
- No changes
Service X39
- Withdrawn
Service 309 (Current)
- Withdrawn
NEW Service 309 - Every 20 minutes
- Basically a renumbered 311 between Hadrian Park and Newcastle.
Service 310 - Every 20 minutes
- Same route as current 310 from North Shields to Norham Road North. Then via A191 New York Road through Cobalt Park before following almost the same route as current 309 to Newcastle with the exception of serving HIgh Farm rather than Selby Gardens.
Current PVRs
- 41/41A - 3x Single Deck
- 309/310/311 - 16x Double Deck
New PVRs
- 41/41A - 6x Single Deck
- 309/310 - 9x Double Deck
Note that 7x B9TL would be freed from Percy Main as only 11x would be required (PVR of 9x + 2x spare)
That 41 is a complete waste of time, no-one would use it especially since the 54 already does it mostly anyway. People from Blyth / South Beach don't all go to Cobalt and the 308 does the rest of the route cheaper and more frequently doesn't make sense and people from Wallsend use the 22. You're just inventing another 19 pretty much.
The 311 is the bus route that needs to go out of the lot.
