I read the 12 as the current 12A route from Blaydon to the top of Park Lane, right on to Scotland Head then continue down Church Street & North Street (missing the bus station); right at the Rose & Crown and then down the bank to Heddon view, up and then left on to Wylam View, right on to blaydon bank/zion terrace and up to the bus station. And then the current 12A route back out via Hanover Estate.

Agreed. Though I can't see this incarnation lasting long so they'll be unserved by the time they're put in!
