I don't understand why there's such an insistence on having so many events. I know they've got limited resources and volunteers, so surely it'd be best placed in trying to run say two big events per year?

These micro rallies, like Whitley Bay used to be, aren't really worth bothering with. Plus they're a big ask for preservationist groups, asking them to attend multiple events all over the place.
