Given they're only just coming up to 6 years old, is this a poor purchasing decision or poor maintenance?
Their reliability has went downhill since Riverside got their hands on them, the stories that I could tell about this place would probably get me the chop

12hr day is a short day for a service bus. Probably more to the point I think the days of A and B services are long gone, reactive more than preventative maintenance seems to be the only thing that happens - asides from a week or two of PSV test prep each year, and even then often only test worthy issues are addressed.
We've currently got a board on the 21 that leaves the depot at 0500 and doesn't return until 0130, well that's if the same bus last all day.
