You may perhaps see some service changes in Hebburn sometime this year. Late last year 1000's of residents in South Tyneside were given a bus consultation - coordinated by Nexus on behalf of the South Tyneside Partnership together with local bus operators.
As of November 2012 -
"Jim Grady, NEXUS provided the CAF with an update advising that the bus survey had concluded in the area. All partners of the bus partnership would be looking at the results in preparation for the next partnership meeting in January.
Members welcomed the news and hoped the survey would result in the reintroduction of the 27a service, as the people in the Hebburn South Ward had suffered poor transport links following changes to services in the area."
As of January 2013 -
"There had been a good response from the public to the Hebburn bus survey. The survey results were being analysed. Nexus continued to work with providers to meet residents’ needs."
