This is a large part of the reason Arriva are in the position they're in. Drivers become unhappy, and they don't need to take a significant pay cut to go to GNE/SNE and start afresh.
Meanwhile, unhappy drivers at GNE/SNE are going to take one look at the ANE starting rate and stay where they are.
