My experience of people living on Great Park is a lot are looking to get to Regent Centre or Gosforth High Street for work or leisure (especially the High Street on an evening). There is also a surprising number who do go to and from Ouseburn/Quayside area, especially in evenings.
These new services might be more suitable for Stagecoach and their delivery, but for the users I can understand why going via Kingston Park instead of Gosforth is probably an issue.
I'd often get the bus back from the Ouseburn on an evening to the city Centre of Regent Centre to connect with my bus. I'll be blaming Stagecoach and GNE if I have a heart attack climbing Dene Street ?
There's not really any losts links though, the X47 brings a more frequent service which is quicker to Newcastle and the Metro connection still exists at Kingston Park instead. Not to mention more of the Western side of the Great Park actually has a bus now.
The problems are the other side of the A1 where there's next to no bus service but I guess this funding doesn't cover over there so it's down to Nexus to deal with. The X46 running on an evening and Sunday being the obvious answer.
