Don't know what eventually happened to S833 OFT, but such a shame that none of the Go Coastline S*** FVK/OFT or Northumbria M*** FTY / P*** CCU got preserved!
They were always part of my childhood! Regular rides on the 356 and occasional 306 onboard (7)410-(7)420. North Tyneside was awash with Volvo Olympians at one time when Go Coastline moved 3830-33 from South Shields to Percy Main for the 308, then ironically at the same time, Arriva Blyth Depot ending up with some or all of 7370-76 (7377 was kept as spare at Hexham) when Hexham got the Tridents. Remember my first rides on them on the 308, one (I believe was (7)372) carrying the dark blue Pennine Windows livery, and the other still bearing NMS colours with 602 branding and a then newly fitted Wayfarer 3 ticket machine.
Aye must say it's a type that we never really got purely Scania around here and whatever other crap Blyth had at the time.
The other time they really came here was when they started the interworking with the 356 on the 57 and they were well past it at that point.
Might a massive improvement on the Vario's.
