Yes, but it will go right down to the wire, but if Sunderland go down, Poyet has nothing to lose by it after he inherited but they could suffer from a player exodus and have to tighten the purse strings, they recently announced losses of £23m and if they go down, there tv share drops from 60 odd mill down to about 20m.
What about Hartlepool and Gateshead in their quest for promotion via the play offs- will they be successful?

Although it's tight, I can't imagine any scenario where Sunderland will remain in the Premiership. The same applies to Newcastle with their hopes for a place in Europe. Hartlepool are too far adrift to clinch promotion via play-off, in my opinion at least.
