Not specific to the North East, but an advert from British Airways was doing the rounds over social media.
In the advert, coupled with an underwater picture of the Indian Ocean - it was extolling the virtues of experiencing all it had to offer.

Pretty poor, considering there are still 200 passengers trapped in a Malaysian Airways plane just a few a thousand miles out to sea.
