I had thought that the 39 change might have had something to do with the conversion of Borough Road to two-way traffic. The roadworks are coming on really well and I think it's feasible that the works could be completed by the beginning of June. But the 42 variation yesterday is just a timetable change and that follows the same route as the 39 - so maybe not.
