Just been having a look on Facebook and Twitter and it doesn't look like they've done so on this occasion. They usually put a post out on both to alert passengers. Robert Smallwood put a post on there at 1806 questioning it, but it looks like the only alternative offered on this occasion was an apathetic apology for inconvenience caused.
I know they tend to cover breakdowns quite well on the X9/X10 by diverting as suggested, but perhaps a contingency process needs to be put in place for the X7/X10 if there isn't one.
