I don't think the Economic services warrant double deckers, doesn't seem that long ago when their were operated by double deckers and due to low patronage their started to use single deckers, the service only warrant double deckers only on special occasions and even then Stagecoach probably wont as their would know that every seat will be taken and the service between sunderland and south shields is every 5 minutes? and the section between Marsden roundabout and South Shields is duplicated by service 7 and 8.
