This is quite normal for Darlington - I think it's a standard piece of maintenance kit! Does make you wonder what safety critical defects have been bodged under the bonnet (and also it just looks plain awful, as do all the vents/radiator grills that have been knocked up with sheet metal and a drill in the garden shed!)
