The diesel 'spare' Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 628 (NK61 DBZ) was covering for a Hybrid on service 700 today alongside "Nexus" branded Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 635 (NK61 FJP). Whilst it should be the diesel backup on service 701 opposed to a Hybrid, I'm guessing there's been an issue with the allocations today.
I'm not aware of any of the "Sunderland Connect" branded vehicles having been repainted. How much did the vehicle in question differ from the photo below? All I can suggest, if it did differ, is that the vehicle has sustained accident damage and it's gone out with silver panels rather than being repainted and re-branded straight away...
