I wouldn't suggest anywhere near the city centre. I've been to Paris once, when I was little, and don't remember much, but my mam has told me in the past that she booked a hotel just a couple of blocks away from the Eiffel Tower, and there were constantly people walking past the room at about two in the morning.

I'd suggest staying on the outskirts of the city centre, Tom!
