Technically, as it stands, they could stick an Olympian on (if it fits under the Beamish Arch).
I have been on Catch22Bus (or whatever they want to be called this week!) Routemaster's in Blackpool before and they have had conductors administering tickets to passengers but I imagine major operators like Go North East would not to do this as Key card holders would not be able to be use there cards on the service and there would be nothing to scan ENCTS passes either.
