I've been meaning to ask for ages - does anyone know what Percy Main does to those dual door B10s to make them smell so nice compared to other buses (inc similar examples at Riverside) in the fleet?

I wonder if the short 9's will be dropped?
What happened to the plans to extend the 9 to Northumberland Park via Cobalt? I'm sure there was other plans too?

Could this be why 8306-8309 and 8319 haven't been Branded Yet, as the 51/52 will require a PVR Increase from 02-Jun-2014. Just a wild guess which would make a lot of sense, Question what will be used on the 39 instead.

I'm sure it's always been a mistake on the VOSA registrations/variations for the Orbit, so not sure if it's going to be extended to Newcastle?

Looks like someone has already done it!

Away from the TV and stage, Logan reportedly works at a North Tyneside bus depot, ensuring a fleet of buses smell nicer than their counterparts in Gateshead.

Money could of being used else where in country for transport improvments BUT because its London.. they have to have it...

I'd argue that they do in London, having made several rush hour trips this year alone. The whole boarding and alighting process in London is like clockwork. You would never get what you get up here: oap gets on bus, and has a scrape around for their pass. Takes two or three attempts to scan said pass. Has another scrape around this time in the Metro newspaper box. Meanwhile the drivers waiting for them to sit down.

a few members of the FPF "on patrol" when I was on the 71 coming through Avenue Vivian earlier this afternoon - sitting in their front gardens & watching buses. The sun was out though ! The parking wasn't great this afternoon and it was a bit tight in places - I suspect they'll need to behave or its only a matter of time before it gets noticed.

Told you before, that isn't our style. Aureolin has obviously spotted our shenanigans when he has been out and about (see his post on the Borismaster).

The FPF disassociate ourselves from anything the brethren of Avenue Vivian get up to.

Sounds like Aureolin was on my bus on the way home last night as that exact scenario was played out, along with lots of questions on the nearest stop for the Empire Theatre in Sunderland - in fairness, the driver was brilliant, but the queue on Ropery Lane didn't seem too happy !

The 78 is just a short walk home after getting off in Woodstone Village for many FPF members Wink

The VOSA thing is wrong, shame because why not extend it to Newcastle, could get more passengers?

And you don't have all the muppets legging it to the bus at the last minute during peak time only having the decency to offer a £20 note for a £1.50 fare. Should be like Lothian. Exact fare only and they never run late (only by a minute or 2 at the most).

I'm not sure, because some areas such as Deckham, Felling Square, Heworth, Fewster Square are served by the 57 and 58 and Low Fell and Wrekenton are served by a very frequent service to Newcastle.

It would be good for residents of Carr Hill Road, Leam Lane Estate (Grange Crescent, Meresyde, Millford), Springwell Estate (daytimes) and some areas of Low Fell which are further away from a service to Newcastle, requiring a change at Gateshead, but I think the Orbit Switcha is good value.

If it's the 27 (and non-existent 27A) as well, it might be the Finchale Road works. However, I think they start later than the 16th June?
