They need more cross city services like Sunderland haha
Combine with the 310 so it could receive upgraded buses sometimes if they're both combined, interwork with 11 at whitley and extend 97A to the metro. The 310 dosent even go into proper cobalt and basically skims the bottom of it. So they could make it into
97/310->12(N.Shields to Metro)
97A->12A (Metro to Town)
X97->12X (Same route as now)

Feel for yous waiting in this weather but the driver would not make the decision to turn the bus..the decision is made by control (normally) and they have rules to follow before making the decisions I.e impacts on driver break times etc....like I say awful standing around In this cold but sometimes decisions are unavoidable

Times like this, are ideal opportunities to push out messages and updates.
Whether it be via the app, sms or something else.
I've pointed it out on the technology thread previously.

Going by the delay, he would've been instructed to run light to Cobalt and continue from there. If the alleged changes do go ahead, the reliability should improve (and hopefully the weather too haha)

Spotted three X9/X10 G3s in Edinburgh - on private hire. Full and standing, so can't assume they came all the way from Newcastle with passengers?

All three on a Private Hire, and yes, they came from this neck of the woods.

There's enough capacity for the number of children travelling, so if they were standing, that was out of choice. Presumably would have been seated on the journey up, and a bit more excitable on arrival into Edinburgh...

Likewise with the Newcastle bound 26/27, and numerous other services that don't track. The services are still recognised when you click on the stop to view the times, though.

The live tracking feature is certainly handy to have, but is no use to anyone living on the routes that don't track.

Another quirk I've found is that the 16:50 short X21 doesn't track for me, nor does the 16:05 93 which it runs off, although the 137 scholars run does.  Curiously, neither the 93 or X21 runs exist on the timetable section for me either.  The 16:20 and 17:20 short X21s are there as are all other 93s.

The 15:24 X21 wasnt tracking for me today but it was showing on the stops as tracked. I've noticed there's been quite a few issues with the tracking lately, with the buses either having live tracking but now showing on the stops, or vice versa

Green Arrow will go once the Scania L94's are withdrawn, Blue Arrow I would say it's days are numbered given we are in the process of seeing the demise of the Whey-Aye-50 brand, hopefully they get rid of the Indigo branding as well in the coming months.

Hopefully, with the review of branding in full swing, it won't be long until the next brand will be gone, Green Arrow brand won't go until the Scania's are withdrawn.

Have a feeling, the Drifter brand will be dropped too, loop and Black Cats from the Scania, leaving the 35 and 38 as "Go North East", Toonlink, MetroMini and Venture.

Edit: and The 9 and The 49

The Indigo brand is all over, different buses throughout the brand, and all have different features....
