Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4972 should move over to Saltmeadows this weekend for its freshen up repaint.

Is that the last laser scania to be done?

Only 15 dennis tridents left?

I don't think the Work Eat Play ones will be done?

They were only done in December 2012, although received Work Eat Play Branding in March 2013, so I wouldn't think they'll be done as they more than likely be the first(3803) to go out that batch of Tridents.

No. Neither will the ex-X25 or showstopper examples as they have also recently been done.

Photos of 524 certainly look familiar, and from looking on Flickr one of the Photos used is by mcwmetrobus2001 as seen below, so if he is member on here also, it could be him.

Yep, next 78 to depart Stanley for Sunderland. Running a few mins late (again!)

I think it is down to the 8/78 Interworking to be Honest, As I have seen 9120 3 Times this week, and it has been 7-8 Minutes Late on each occasion, Surely reliability would be improved on both Services if they didn't Interwork.

If they were to split again, it would probably reduce the PVR by 1 or 2. Saving them money as less buses will need to be purchased. However, don't think that they will be split though.

Would a split it not Increase the PVR, As thought the idea of Interworking was to reduce the PVR, Although with the Limes I can't see it making too much difference if for example.

The 8 which is supposed depart Park Lane at 22/52 departs as a 78, which it comes in as, and vice versa at 07/37 when the 78 comes in, it departs as the 8.

Obviously Timetables would need adjusting.

The 78 (or 775/778) was a standalone service for years, leaving Park Lane approx 15 and 45, giving Chester Road a service every 15mins between Park Lane and Barnwell with the 638 (two mentions in a day) and 777. This was supplemented by the 164 and x6 for a period.

I imagine the 78 can still be a standalone service.

No idea whether the 8 could work alone without any tweaks to the route or timetable.

Haven't a clue. Just logically thought that the PVR would decrease although the TEN changes prove otherwise.

At times of the day, picktree lane can be at a standstill and it takes ages to get past the depot. Therefore the 8 starts running late, impacting the next 78. The 78 into sunderland on time, but the 8 can get caught in the traffic problems at cls or the A1231 widening and then problems begin again.

No good when it comes to numbering roads - is the A1231 next to The Wavendon in Sunderland? Chester Road? Description suits, and I've been on buses that have been stuck on that road in the traffic for 20 minutes before.

I'm sure I've said before that I've walked it quicker than the bus has done it. Inevitable delays, and thankfully GNE run extra 8s around that time which means that there doesn't tend to be anyone to pick up from Waterview Park to The Galleries, and the driver of the 8s at least can make up time a little. There's nothing in place for the 78s, but even despite service changes to service 16 in Sunderland, Stagecoach has to regulate their buses pretty much every day and there's not much GNE can do. Some days you can get down in 5 mins, other days it's 20 mins...

That road really needs to be worked on, as it's no good for car users (I certainly wouldn't want to drive there after 4pm) or bus users (who experience delays of 20 mins or more because of it).

No.

The A1231 runs from the A1 through Washington and along Wessington Way to the Queen Alexandra Bridge.

Chester Road is the A183.

Oh yes, that's awful too - especially coming back towards Sunderland on an evening.

Widening is taking place beside the new vantec warehouse, queues can be back to nissan/waterview pk junction at peaks. Hopefully the issues at cls should be lessoned after today with the re-opening of the road between northlands roundabout and the A1M roundabout.
