22512 was thrown out on 30/31/36 cycle on Monday actually. Assume it only lasted the day and just got back out today.

It's not too bad of an app in all honesty. You need an account with Stagecoach to use it, and the real-time tracking feature is particularly useful, saved me missing the bus from my sisters which is only half-hourly on a few occasions. The only feature which can't be used in the area at the minute is the mobile ticketing, but as it's something I wouldn't use anyhow, it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Slatyford are also receiving a batch of MAN E300s from East Scotland, No doubt replacing the older 03/53 Reg batch of MAN ALX300s, Which are older and in poorer condition than Stockton's.
This is also the unconfirmed reason the Kinetics are entering service here too.

The E300s off the 100 wont be moving this year by the look of things.

Replacing the 03 MANs is fine but IMO Slatyford could really do with replacing between 5 - 10 of the single deck fleet to Double deck. Peak time services are packed beyond a joke and always have been on single decks.

2 of the Ex Manchester Dennis Trident ( Euro 2 ) / Alexander ALX400s have now arrived back from Open Top Conversion, Both were parked inside Slatyford still in Magic Bus livery.

I'll try and link a photo once I've flicked through my files.

I wonder if stagecoach plan to adopt the slightly different corporate livery as on newly delivered vehicles to current fleet. Believe stagecoach south have been adding the orange band to front of some of there older e400's. Also interesting that stagecoach had dropped the local "in" from corparate liverys but some divisions are still applying it to new vehicles.

Kindest regards

Contactless Bus Travel

Stagecoach, Britain's biggest bus operator, today (20 October 2016) announced it will deliver contactless bus travel on all of its regional bus services across the UK by the end of 2018.  The £12million initiative will allow passengers to pay for their travel with a contactless credit or debit card, as well as Apple Pay and Android Pay.  It will be the first major deployment of contactless technology on Britain's buses outside London and will benefit customers from major urban areas to rural and island communities such as Norfolk in England, Orkney in Scotland and Brecon in Wales.

Today, Stagecoach launched the first stage of the major project with contactless now live on all of Stagecoach's 180 buses in Oxfordshire. It covers Oxford City services, commuter routes into Oxford and Oxford Tube express services which run to and from London 24 hours a day.

The facility will be rolled out to Ashford in Kent and Tyne and Wear by the end of this year
with Greater Manchester following in January 2017, covering a further 1,300 buses and benefitting hundreds of thousands of bus passengers. By the end of 2018, the state-of-the-art technology will be live on all of Stagecoach's 7,200 buses in England, Scotland and Wales - equivalent to nearly one in four buses outside London.

Stagecoach has already ordered 4,000 special ticket machines, covering more than 50% of its bus fleet, with the remaining 3,200 machines scheduled for 2017-18. There will be no additional charge to customers for using contactless as a means of payment.

Stagecoach provide the internal fleet cards to various enthusiasts - these are then posted on the public domain (both the documents or the details of transfers).

I'm not suggesting it's right or wrong, but you'd be fighting a losing battle if you tried to avoid these details being posted. I'm sure if Stagecoach had that much of an issue with it, they wouldn't e-mail the documents out to enthusiasts in the first place?

Some MDs are against this type of information being available though. It's to easy to find out where they live, who there family members are ect.

We do have a few people in high places that read this forum and I would expect this subject to be brought up again internally.

Staff do get there arse kicked for things that a posted on here, I'm sure you will know this. When it comes to enthusiasts the only option you have is stop sending the information, it only takes one director to object again and AS could be told to only send to internal addresses, then everyone loses out.

I have no idea whether the plates are privately owned or not. I have worked for firms where cherished plates were bought by the company for company cars, so it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility they're owned by Stagecoach.
This isn't me doubting what you are saying by the way, I have no reason to doubt what you are saying.

Either way, if someone wanted to track these people down and find out where they live, it is possible to do so (legally), without needing a car number plate.
The fact Mr Medlicott's car has been returned to the lessor, means it will be harder for anyone to find him using his number plates/vehicle type.

Ancillary and company cars are included in all Stagecoach UK Bus fleetcards up and down the country, not just NE. As well as the fleetcards, they are published online in various formats, and also in publicly available handbooks. Cars are leased from LEX to the company, not privately owned - hence they have official UK Bus fleet numbers.

For my part, apologies if me asking the question has lead to anyone getting their arse kicked.

Although, being mischievous for a moment; I'm a bit mystified why someone who has a private plate that effectively spells their name, would then object to it being pointed out that that car was theirs?

But why would a bus enthusiast need any information about a black BMW car?? Not all cars are owned by LEX and fleetnumbers are only used for fuel issuing purposes, this is now becoming more pointless as LEX are objecting to the higher content bio diesel being used.

One example I can think of off the top of my head. Someone tell me the details of the MDs car before Phil was here, JC never had his details printed on the cards.

I only use internal information so never really look at fleet cards or books so out of interest are all the forklift trucks included as they all have fleetnumbers??

If they didn't want them to be known the company wouldn't disclose them in a document and then email it out to staff and enthusiasts...!

As shown, just leased vehicles in company and ancillary for Busways on their period fleetcard:  http://mbonwick.cu.cc/SCNW/Fleetcards/16...%20P06.pdf
