The other two are being re-trimmed I believe. This one was in such good condition they didn't bother.

Is this the EcoCity that was used as the Demo in Darlington?

Radecal did the "NHS" branded Solos - not sure if they have done the recent branding or not though.

Very happy when 7454 turned up as my X15 to Berwick this morning, especially so when the three X18's I saw and one of the other X15's were E400's. It seemed to be able to handle the bit of the route I was on with ease (Morpeth to Berwick, but I can't see the first bit being too challenging). When do these go to Durham?

As I understand it, 7453-6 will be moving once 7401-6 enter service at Whitby, allowing 7484-6/9/93/4 to head back to Ashington.

Does anyone know what will happen to the x14 bus that uses the mini pointers if they still have them on that route of just decker
RE: Arriva North East - Latest
Were the B9TL's that are going onto the X93, going to be initially be for the X18? I think it makes sense them going on the X93 as most X18 journeys will now only run between Newcastle and Berwick therefore, the E400's shouldn't get too much of a hammering. Mind you though, it would be good if Arriva sent the 2 non local restricted 57 reg lowlanders to Whitby to join 7401 - 7406 on the X93 during the summer.

The B9TL's were procured especially for the X93, the X18 had no involvement. I believe Arriva scoured the country trying to source some and were able to find 6 which were sat in dealer stock, they have been extensively refurbished into Max spec and are due to be delivered very soon to Whitby for use on the X93.
The X18 has had new (Max) E400's and that was always the plan.

Will they be in service by or before Saturday 25th Oct?
RE: Arriva North East - Latest
Any reason why all three 14 reg Enviros I've seen this morning are all only displaying "X21" or "X22" on their rear display, whereas the 57 reg ones are displaying the full destination?
RE: Arriva North East - Latest
Philly the Volvo B7TLs are down to move to Ashington depot so they will likely appear on 35s etc

1512 and 1440 are due to get generic Sapphire branding, but with no route details.

RE: Arriva North East - Latest
As confirmed by an Ashington driver:
Some of the 14 registered E400s on routes X21/X22 have gained problems with the rear destination boards and the next stop announcements after an update to the system. The rear destination board may read X21/X22 and some may have been fixed.

7482 and 7483 are now at Ashington depot, withdrawn and awaiting their fate... Sad

That would have been 1636 was origonally planned on the 75/76 but due to it doing the same while out in the sticks they thought they would put it on town just for it to do the same

Been a bad day for darlingtons allocations today:

1507 on 11s
4644 on 1/5
1407 on X66
1406 on 1/5
1513 on X66
1798 on 4s replace by 2849 due to breaking down at 8:40 am
1760 on 4s replace by 2834 due to breaking down at 16:00

Who thought launching buses at the seaside in the North East in the middle of October would be a brilliant idea, it was so cold and it seemed like the only people insane enough to go were us lot. Probably should have worn more than a orange polo shirt and thin jacket.

They didn't finish the sand sculpture until about 5pm half an hour later than it should have been.
