Bus driver having words with a car driver in Murton on Woods Terrace after she parked outside the co-op, blocking the bus from getting to the bus stop...He gets back on the bus, she decides to have round, shouting 'I work for the Council, he can't talk to me like that' when one older lady said 'who do you think you are like' that made my day Big Grin

Greedy buggers.

To be honest, I didn't actually take a proper look at the buses there. I did see some Sapphire E400s but didn't note the registration.

I was mainly off to Dark Universe Comics (with my partner, one of my best pals and 2 friends from Grimsby) to meet up with some people who live down South and have a few games of the card game I play. Was jolly good fun I have to say.

I'm actually impressed with O2's. No more congestion in areas I was previously unable to use data, because it was so congested. If I was a cynic, I'd suggest that some creative traffic shaping may be being applied to the 3G network in those areas... Wink

Having said that, I don't actually have 4G coverage where I live, so it's redundant for the next month or two until they sort my area out.

Mines limited like, only get "E" in my bedroom normally , and only get 3G (or H/H+), when outside, but even that is temperamental. Normally have to make to do with "E" or "G" when out and about Wink

Think they should've rolled 3G (and 2G for that matter!) out everywhere before 4G...

I'm currently on the Eurostar to Paris. My HST down to KGX from NCL ended up being around 10 minutes late, but a fairly pleasant journey nevertheless!

Don't quite like the look of the trains on the Eurostar in the flesh, but I'm enjoying the ride so far.

That on the RER? I love Paris' transport networks, you should try some of the Paris Metros!

Also they have some pretty decent MAN buses (haven't a clue what chassis or body), I was on one from Charles de Gaulles airport to the city centre before getting lost!!

Well I can't answer that as I'm just following the crowd! Hate the Metros - they're so overcrowded and uncomfortable.

The MAN Lion City buses look really smart though. They have colour Route Number destinations for the front, side and rear. Must be quite expensive.

That said though, last time I was in Paris was in 2009 so things may have changed since then! Smile

That's it, Lion's City. Really comfortable they were, we went from the airport to the City Centre on the bus (with a stupid 1 or 2 hour frequency!) and then back on the RER. Need to go back again sometime though.

Yeah the MAN Lion City is used heavily all around Europe, there is tons of them in Germany (Dusseldorf/Cologne etc) where I was in November, along with some very smart looking Setra single decks.

Used the Lion City in Greece last summer.
Think I suggested them as possible B9 replacements for the X9/X10 at some point, when the debates were going on about reliability.
They can be built for easy access/wheelchair users too.

Breaking my GC HST cherry on the Durham Coast line.
Of course, sitting in coach A (right next to the power car) was a bonus.
As was the lack of anyone asking for my fare...
Was more than happy paying the £6 odd fare from Eaglescliffe (well worth it), but nobody bothered coming around.

Some of the views on the coast are canny, but clicking around the tight curves at Norton and Seaham and seeing it start moving off faster, takes some beating.
