Sorry I'm just really bad with counties and regions, etc., I think it's classed West Yorkshire! Smile

Anyway, I never want to see another Enviro400 ever again. Must have counted about 40-50 in First colours, along with one or two B7TL Geminis and an ALX400.

Saw loads of Arriva stuff as well, although I must say Leeds seems very much like Newcastle - in the sense that certain areas are dominated by different operators.

Saw quite a bit of YorkshireTiger action too!

Yeah - leeds is in Yorkshire. Im down there tomorrow coincidentally! Tongue

Really hoping to see this:

Being used on the 110 route from Leeds to Wakefield, it goes out of the bus station.

Hasn't there already been an order for E400s for 110 anyway? Cant see much point in the MMC being there tbh.

Possibly being used for familiarisation purposes, not sure? It seems to be out on service a fair bit mind.

Service and Contract Changes in Sheffield have resulted in a few service allocation changes:

First's 3 Heritage-livered B9TLs 37229 (3910 WE) 37524 (YN58 ETR) and 37528 (YN58 ETX) are now allocated to service 95 (Sheffield - Walkley)

Operation of Monday to Friday limited service M20 (Broomhill - Pitmoor via City Centre) passed from Sheffield Community Transport (SCT), who used a mix of a Optare Alero and vehicles from their Door 2 Door fleet, to Powells who used MPD LG02FFB on the first day yesterday

SCT and TM Travel also swapped contracts with TM Travel taking over the 29 (Sheffield - Pennistone) from SCT, while SCT replaced TM on the 31/31A (Sheffield - Hillsborough) extending it commercially to Loxley during the week using 2 buses. Stagecoach took over the evening and Sunday journeys on the 31 which already run between Sheffield and Loxley.

RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations
After their successful return to Peak District services in Summer 2014, First South Yorkshire are once again running summer services into the national park in 2015 (information from Derbyshire County Council's website)

Service 240 (First South Yorkshire): The summer weekend service between Sheffield and Bakewell will be re-introduced to run during British Summer Time. The route will be changed to run via Ringinglow, and some buses will run via Chatsworth House as Service 241.

Service 272 (First South Yorkshire): A revised timetable will be introduced on Saturdays and Sundays.

New Service 273 (First South Yorkshire): This service will run between Sheffield, Yorkshire Bridge, Bamford and Castleton on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during British Summer Time. (This will run instead of the 244 which ran in 2014.)

RE: Yorkshire Bus Operations
A good news story about Kirkby Lonsdale's 580/581 service from their home town through Ingleton and Settle down to Skipton...

http://www.cravenherald.co.uk/news/11853...s_/?ref=mr
A RURAL bus service, rescued from being axed last autumn after Pennine buses folded, is proving a success, say public transport watchdogs.

The 580 service between Skipton and Settle, was taken on by Kirkby Lonsdale Bus Hire, despite the route having no passenger fare subsidy.

KLBH agreed to take over the bus route for a trial period of 12 months. It is about half way through that time.
It's operation has been followed by the Southern Dales Transport Action Group which has carried out a "Greenprint for action" outlining how it would like to see the development of regional transport networks.
Colin Speakman, of Friends of DalesBus, said: "The 580 has done very well indeed and is meeting all financial targets and is a success, even in winter. Once the better weather comes and more visitors use the service, it should do even better. "
The only drawback was the afternoon gap when the bus was used on school duties and had cost implications which were being examined by the bus company.
Mr Speakman said the service became the 581 from Settle through Ingleton to Kirkby Lonsdale which was still funded by NYCC and a new Sunday 580/581 was due to start on May 3, the first regular Sunday bus along the A65 for about 30 years.

On a broader level, they were looking to recruit bus user champions for each village along bus routes to ensure timetable literature was distributed and bus time table cases kept clean now that North Yorkshire County Council had dropped that service.
They were also considering establishing "bus buddies" who would help older people, suffering isolation, to have days out on the local bus network.
Proposals were being considered to publish a booklet aimed at residents and visitors which would contain route timetables along with places to visit such as market towns, heritage attractions and walks, all accessible by train and bus.

Not according to the website. If it has, it should be noted on the website in the coming days. That vehicle does however operate service 121 between Hull and Scarborough so it could have been on layover there.

Not that i am aware of. It was operated out of Driffield but to improve reliability of the service, the service was transferred to Scarborough and Hull so if one bus was late, another could be put out so the next journey that bus was to operate would depart on time. This depot split happened when Driffield depot closed.
