For the changes, i can't see any...

New timetable has came into effect today. I believe the main changes are during the peak times. Although, unless im missing something, for some reason they have decided to no longer include the additional peak services on the timetable and are advising people to check the journey planner to find times of peak services.

Due to cable theft causing power issues, trains are suspended between Pelaw and South Shields. We have ticket acceptance on 26 & 27 Go North East services between Heworth and South Shields. Dependant upon bus availability we are trying to get a bus replacement service in operation. We expect the service to be off in this area all morning and hope to have the service back in operation to South Shields this afternoon.

Good morning I'm here to help you with your Metro journey today.
Due to suspected cable theft causing power issues there will be a limited service to South Hylton and no service to South Shields. We are attempting to run trains to these destinations. We have ticket acceptance on 26 & 27 Go North East services between Heworth and South Shields.

Why would it have been withdrawn?

I believe this one was involved in a derailment inside the depot.

From whay I have read on other forums, it has been withdrawn with very little sign of being repaired.

There is a service suspension between Pelaw and East Boldon due to a bridge strike involving a road vehicle . We have a bus replacement- 900 from A-Line- on order which is due to operate between Heworth and East Boldon. There is Metro shuttle service in operation between East Boldon and South Hylton. Please listen for announcements if travelling in the area.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

You will need a zone A + B + C ticket for this journey. That allows you to travel anywhere on the metro or shields ferry. The cost is £5.10 for an adult day ticket.

Saturday 4 August 10.30pm: Tomorrow no trains will operate across the network after about 10.30pm depending on the station. Replacement bus services will not be provided as it is not possible to source sufficient buses and drivers at this time of night to provide a viable replacement service across the network.

I thought Stagecoach were running it, looks like they dropped out........

It looks like they've dropped out?, that seems to be the message from them, as it says NO trains will run system wide.

Just read on another forum that 4082 and 4033 have lost Emirates livery. They are now back in standard livery. Also some major work is being done to 4040 so I expect that will also lose Emirates livery.
