Yes the pulsar 1523 is branded for the 7, but should be getting unbranded and branded up for service 24, service 7 is double decker so now.

1513-1516 at Darlington and 1522/1523 at Belmont will remain branded for the 7 I believe as the 7 only has 5 double deckers.

1517-1521 will be for the 24?

Ok, I'm using tapatalk at present, as I'm on the 24, so can't look at the fleet list, what's the new spare double deckers for at Belmont, someone says at least one for service 24? And why didn't arriva get 10 new deckers so service 7 will be all double deckers?.

I am not sure how things are going to be split at Belmont for Sapphire services, but I believe 1522/1523 are staying on the 7 at Belmont.

I think the reason why Arriva only got 5 double deckers for the 7 was probably because the demand wasn't high enough to justify full double deck operation especially on an evening, the reason I think 5 double deckers were bought was because they were needed on some heavily loaded peak time journeys, the 7 I used to get to New College Durham on a morning would often be at full or almost full seating and standing capacity and from September 2014 that journey had to be duplicated as the loads were that heavy.

The original reason for the additional two Enviro 400's was because they were originally intended for use on service 6 which interworks with a school contract I think which was why these were ordered but the 6 has been put back for being launched as Sapphire due to the roadworks at the Honest Lawyer (Sunderland Bridge) so the buses originally intended for the 6 are now going on the 22/24.

Don't hold anything I have said as definite facts as some of this may not be true or is not quite right.

Looks pretty spot on to me. The 2 E400s should be primarily used on service 24.
Unsure what double deckers will get refurbished for the 6 but that's a few months down the line still I suspect.

Would it not make sense for all the Sapphire 7 Pulsars to be kept together fleet number wise? ie 1517/1518 replace 1522/1523 at Belmont allowing those 2 plus 1519-1521 to go onto the 24?

Would have made more sense to send 1513-1517 to Belmont I think then 1518-1523 could have been kept together for the 7.

I don't think having mixed numbers is a big problem.

Sunday at Stockton - bar 5, 7A and 15, everything else more or less interworks and the drivers in Middlesbrough keep the same bus all day (ie driver and bus could do 9s first half then some combination of 17/27/27A/28B/X12) so 1441-3 could be allocated out on any board that does more than one trip on X12

I hadn't realised it was taken on Sunday - my bad!

1494 started the day on 5s today before being replaced by 1558 at lunchtime... minus offside names!
1564 was on 81s for Redcar, so that should leave just the X93 and Whitby work for Streetlites to do now!...
