Couldn't agree more Gary, particularly when they hanging around like a bad smell.

9109 is back out and will be doing the 14:05 X21 out of Newcastle, just passed it on the Fell, meanwhile I am on 6040 in the opposite direction to Chester le Street.

As long as these spotters are obeying the rules and taking these photos outside of the premises then I don't see the issue at all, I would say its an over zealous reaction of closing the shutters just because people are taking some photos of buses.

I got off the bus, I went to take a photo and then I made my way to Gateshead Stadium, so I wasn't exactly hanging around like a bad smell was I.

Just get pleasure from realising that these people are paranoid.

You are probably upsetting them more than they are upsetting you.

I wasn't exactly "Hanging around" I was there for 30 seconds max before I went to the stadium.

As long as no law is broken or no trespass has taken place, what is the problem...Though I must admit, I would get Peed Off if there were cameras pointed at me all the time

Unfortunately I couldn't get a phone shot of the Streetdeck as they put the shutters down as soon as they seem me.

Looks quite good, might go down to the Quays next time I'm out to get some photos of it.

The rainbow "QuayLink" branded vehicle can be identified as Optare Versa V1110/Optare 8335 (NK11 HJF).

Indeed, 9119 (SN64 CTU) arrived this morning and should hopefully be out in service within the next day or two. A full set of photographs below:

No No, Don't say that! We already have the pleasure of Streetshites so why would we want the Double Deck version?

Ideally we need the Greg of Weardale verdict on it. I can't see him approving of it like!

Or "Never judge a bus by it's colour....Read the name!" as Northern General would say.

Although in theory, the above quote wouldn't work as most people would say:
"Oh look, here is a nice lovely looking silver bus coming along" then when it gets closer... "Oh shit its a Wright Streetdeck. Doesn't look like we are getting to where we need to be on time".

Nah; it's cush now man, aureolin. That massive vinyl on the front windscreen has been removed - couldn't send a bus to Weardale with that on when Greg is kicking about!

I would suggest Go North East purchase the Enviro 400MMC with the Scania Engine over any other Double Decker currently on the Market, I enjoyed two smooth journeys on 9109 this afternoon where there was not a rattle or a squeak to be heard and was quite speedy along the A1 and Dual Carriage Way between Chester Moor and Pity Me, also loved the seating as was very comfortable compared to the e-leather seating on the Streetlites for example, also thought the tables were a nice touch but probably not needed at all, unless of course it was on a Malarkey Marathon of a Route, safe to say ADL have built a top quality Double Decker, certainly was a hell of a lot better than the B5TL which was trialed last year.

What size engine is in the scania version of the e400mmc.

Must admit 9109 has been very impresses...very positive feedback from every driver
