(27 Jul 2015, 3:25 pm)S813 FVK wrote Oo. Something to look forward to i guess. Will it just be the AM ones that get updated (which simply show the route number then Lanchester St Bede's) or are you going to torture me for five weeks? I know that outlining that service 825 doesnt stop at Stanley Bus Station would be a good thing for the general public who try to board the service.
(27 Jul 2015, 3:29 pm)Tom wrote He has a good point to be fair, if you have to remain seated until the bus stops, the driver should wait until your seated until he drives off. Very rarely happens though.
(27 Jul 2015, 3:32 pm)S813 FVK wrote He should get himself one of those Bridge card things then which, when shown to the driver, means he has to wait until you have taken your seat.
All he is doing in that video is making himself look like a total arse and i completely agree with that Jay guy who has had ago at him (and got put down) for it.

Very rarely happens though.Unless you are elderly or disabled GNE never normally wait until you are seated to pull away from a stop, often it's pull ticket, close doors, away. Nearly went flying to the floor when I got on the 50 at Framwellgate Moor one afternoon a while back.
(27 Jul 2015, 11:37 am)G-CPTN wrote I cannot understand why the 16:35 687 ends in Corbridge.
There are currently passengers that use the 687 from Corbridge (admittedly @ 17:06 rather than 16:49) to travel to Hexham after work finishes @ 5pm.
Some of these arrived in Corbridge from Hexham on the first run of the day (Corbridge 09:02)
And where does the 10:55 687 come from to start in Corbridge?
(27 Jul 2015, 3:31 pm)Dan wrote Nah, the AM ones are fine. It's the PM journeys which could do with a bit of tweaking to bring them in line with the timetable provided on Go North East's website (which appears to be incorrect, given that it shows 825 serving Stanley Bus Station!)
(27 Jul 2015, 3:38 pm)S813 FVK wrote When the 825 was extended to Flint Hill from Stanley in September last year, it did serve Stanley Bus Station. However, it was later discovered that the loadings were too much (going over the capacity limits on the buses). As a result, an amendment to the route was made from 10th November 2014 which saw the service no longer serve the Bus Station and people were told to get either the X31 or 828.
(27 Jul 2015, 3:39 pm)Dan wrote Look at the via points on the timetable. I've had the same PDF open for best part of this afternoon, so I'm well acquainted with it...
I'll not be cheeky and highlight it in a red box for you.

(27 Jul 2015, 3:45 pm)LeeCalder wrote When I was on the Q1 yesterday between Gateshead and Heworth, a couple of people did mention that the next stop announcements were annoying. I asked the driver if he was able to turn them on or off and he said he didn't know but they were bloody annoying.
(27 Jul 2015, 3:16 pm)Dan wrote While Robert's interest in destinations is admirable (I can't wait until September when he gets to see the new St Bede's destinations), something of greater interest to the rest of you will be the arrival of pink Optare Solo SR 652 (NK15 GFO) at Saltmeadows Road, meaning that 10/14 vehicles have been delivered to date.

(27 Jul 2015, 4:32 pm)Panasonic44 wrote I think Next Stop systems (700 & 4) and other's should be more like Metro System. Where they are not over the top or shouting out but for people to understand what they are saying.
(27 Jul 2015, 4:04 pm)citaro5284 wrote No they cannot. Remember Next Stop systems are there for the benefit of blind or people with bad eyesight as well as strangers to the area. What is the point of having them if the drivers can turn them off and people with bad eyesight miss their stop??
(27 Jul 2015, 4:07 pm)Dan wrote A large number of journeys on service 680 will by operated standalone - not interworking with any other services. These journeys are outlined below, and I believe they should be allocated Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 5210:
From Hexham - 06:55, 09:10, 11:10, 13:10, 15:35, 17:20
From Bellingham - 07:45, 10:05, 12:05, 14:05, 16:30, 18:15.
...
As predicted, there will be some journeys operated by Stanley Depot on weekdays in between normal duties on service 689. This includes the 1135 687 service from Hexham (and return), as well as the 1210 682 service from Hexham (and return).

Will have a go now.
(27 Jul 2015, 5:47 pm)S813 FVK wrote That is what i gathered from the proposals too.
With all of this splitting, i can't help but think it has something to do with QCS. Won't be long before they are trying to do something with the 8/8A/78/78A.
