It looks quite good, but I wish it had stayed in OK livery and they'd persisted with the OK1 even if it had gone down to hourly, as they hadn't given the Middlesbrough extension long enough - it was certainly doing well each time I used it, with 20 to 30 each trip, more than double the passengers on the following Arriva X66.

If it's gone it obviously wasn't doing well at all sadly.

Agree with Andreos1. Very Trent Barton

The ''Tynedale Express'' livery looks very good and effective! - I think these services will do well, especially Heddon-Newcastle.

(02 Sep 2013, 12:41 pm)Daniel wrote Service #27 unable to serve Hedgeley Road in Hebburn due to an incident.
The incident involved a Newcastle bound Crusader branded bus. I was in Black Road, Hebburn at 13.03 yesterday and a Crusader had stopped with the front end in Hedgley Road and the rear in Black Road. 2 Police vans were on site with a PCSO directing traffic on the one available side of Black Road with no access to Hedgley Road. I was driving so I was unable to check what the incident was but the details are now in The Shields Gazette as detailed below:

No buses had been used by approximately mid-day today, though a van with a billboard on (http://www.mobile-billboards.co.uk/) did follow the route as was suggested on the above Facebook post.

I did get a photo of 5230/31/32 branded on Saturday morning, but as they were all parked in a line-up, had not noticed they were actually branded! Nevertheless, we got a photo by GNE anyways Wink
5233 is still at Saltmeadows and is expected at Hexham shortly to be branded.
5229 saw use on "Tynedale Links" service 688 today, which is likely to be because a number of "Tynedale Links" branded vehicles are presently VOR - including: 8293, 558 and another which I unfortunately forgot to note.

EDIT:

Photo credit to Go North East.

As you can see, a man (as well as two considerably younger looking females) was out today at Hexham Bus Station in what could only be perceived as a boiler suit with stickers on it, handing out timetables.

Not sure whether it has been noted:

The still branded MetroLink Solars seem to be having their internal branding removed.

The Gemini's I have been on recently on the X1 & 10 seem to have had their announcements turned off. Don't know if this is across the fleet or just the vehicles I have been on.

Noticed a Northern Trident on the 57 this evening. A Northern SPD was on a short 58 to Gateshead and a Fab 56 Solar on the X36.

I've noticed there's still perhaps two Coaster buses running round in the old livery, along with another one in plain blue still? Bit of a half-arsed brand relaunch.

The driver deserves a medal for avoiding what could have been an absolute tragedy. I hope they find who done it and throw the book at them. Angry

Yeah there is, caught a photo of 5272 on the 1 today, can't remember what the other 1 was though as I didn't get a photo of that, also 2 of the plain blue ones were missing and in there place was Centurion 5156 and Northern 5274, could of been more missing today, Hopefully the ones off the road today were being branded.

As it seems 5264 is still the only one branded which is ridiculous considering it was done a week ago. I would of expected atleast half of them to of been branded by now. Sheer Laziness by GNE I think, Plus as mentioned 2 are still to be debranded/repainted and rebranded.

Plus it was mentioned on Facebook that the external company failed to turn up to do the rebrands on Monday Night also. So much for 3 a day getting done.

5271 is another one still in the old Coaster livery.

Additionally. Centurian 5154 was on the late 17s (Churchill Street to Cramlington) tonight instead of a North Tyne MPD.

In Chester le Street today:
Recently allocated Renown’s 4838 and 4839 have been on the X25 noted yesterday and today I assume this is in part due to the transfer out of 3803 which was a regular on the X25.
Changes to normal allocations today are 8237 on the 34A, 8236 on the 28 and 4912 on the 78. The GNE fleet list shows 4912 as allocated to Washington so not sure if its use on the 78 is a loan or transfer. The 71 is running with 4944 and 8289.
Three new 3 axle coaches in Chester le Street depot this morning contractors are on site now applying National Express livery (no fleet numbers or registration plates visible at the moment).

628 replaced East Durham 541 I think it was just before 12, No idea if 541 came back from Depford later in the afternoon and replaced an SPD or something on the 39 if it was the journey after the one of 628. I didn't take any photos as I caught this working a few weeks back. And I didn't see any other odd allocations either surprisingly.

I was in school walking around the park this afternoon which is on Stockton Road (average P.E lesson at my school! :p), and from what I saw, it was:

xx53 departures: 628
xx13 departures: un-ID'd SPD
xx33 departures: un-ID'd "East Durham" MPD with LED blinds as opposed to flip dots.

Deptford don't have any East Durhams with LEDs, so it was a Peterlee one.

There was an LED one went up Stockton Road at Lunchtime, I assumed it was going back to Peterlee after some Maintenance Work, obviously not the case, I believe it was 510, as it definitely wasn't a 52/53 reg example that I seen.
