Kind of work? Very essential maintenance.  Wink

No, just a general query as I was looking at what buses were doing the replacements.

The answer is no - Red Arrows B9s are Red Arrows B9s to an operational depot. The ones on the Metro Replacement this morning would have been some of the first out of the depot this morning given that the X1s start pretty late on, so they would have been the first back into the depot last night.

The X1 timetable on a Sunday morning is rubbish...Example:

Easington Lane Clock -  7:22am, 8:22am then nothing till  9:17am, 9:47am although its still half hourly from the Galleries (the 9.22am Journey)

From Newcastle - first one is 8:31am.... (7:52am from Galleries to Easington)

Would of though GNE would of had a couple more journeys from Newcastle on a Sunday morning, especially  towards the Galleries.

These are mine:

5A Bishop Auckland - 1012.
7 Durham - 0847 (was previously 0937!)
8 Darlington - 0926
21 Peterlee - 0851 (was previously 0951)

Not bad really compared to some area's...

I remember when the 537 ran, on a Sunday, the first bus from the Grindon Mill in Sunderland was around 12:30pm.......... although other buses ran that way to, it was the only service to my nana's from my area at the time towards Castletown.... or we'd have to go to the town and get the 135/136 or the 163..... lol

Despite being in Tyne & Wear and being far from a rural Co Durham backwater - Sunday services are a pretty recent thing for the people of Fence...

Oh, I'd better not! Wink

But aye, after the 2006 changes, the introduction of a 4 on a Sunday - was a blessed relief.
Anyone who is on a day out, needs to be on the last bus for 1730 (I think that's the time), or wait until the 239 starts later on in the night.

These are my bus times: 0816 (X22) and 0846 (X21). First arrives Newcastle 0916... Not great on a bank holiday if you work... There isn't a bus to Newbiggin until after 0700 every Mon-Sat morning from Ashington.

Count yourselfs lucky in T&W.

I do, i would hate for my Sunday service to be so bad.

I have a decent service on my road:

My first bus Monday-Friday is:

6:14am towards the town - Stagecoach 23.

Saturday towards the town - 7:14am - Stagecoach 23

Sundays time are above in another post

Also:

5A - 7:04am towards the City Centre (Stagecoach) - Monday - Saturday
5A- 9:41am towards the City Centre (Stagecoach) - Sundays
------------
Got the 18/19 (Stagecoach) to... however they go around the world but the first 18/19 is:

18 - Springwell, Somerset Road - 6:38am for Via Southwick to Seaburn (Monday - Friday)
19 - Sunningdale Road - 6:43am towards the City Centre via Grangetown (Monday - Friday)

Saturday:

18: 7:12am - Springwell, Somerset Road for Via Southwick to Seaburn
19: 7:26am towards towards the City Centre via Grangetown

No service Sunday
--------------

The 16 (Stagecoach) is a 5 minute walk to Grindon Lane -

First from Grindon Lane is 5:45am towards the City Centre - Monday-Friday
On a Saturday the first one is 6:53am towards the City Centre
On a Sunday the first one is 7:15am - however only goes to Fawcett Street.

So in all i haven't got a bad service..... add a 10 minute or so walk to the Prospect and i have the 3 and 4 (Both Stagecoach).........

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - September 2015
There is a 1 that leaves near mine to Newcastle at 05:25, and I think a 91 leaves Percy Main at 04:55 towards Newcastle and Team Valley so not a bad service at all.

We don't know how it will perform yet though? Dan posted some 'late running' stats when it was on the X21 and they all seemed to be very good and only seemed to get held up because of traffic (such as the pride festival) as opposed to lack of power. Obviously, many more factors need to be considered when deciding what bus to invest in...

To give the passengers more misery on the X9/X10 route?  Angel

Na but i just have a feeling that it won't cope... i hope i'm wrong that and it copes really well.

Should be service by Tuesday?, does it already have a tachnograph fitted in?

Yes - 9119 already has a tachograph fitted - part of the reason that it is going onto the X9/X10 as i don't think they'd be allowed to modify and add one themselves?

(06 Sep 2015, 9:28 am)Michael wrote Is that the update you were on about the other day?, linking the news to the fleet list so it's easier updated when a bus from each depot or something?

Can't remember the full details...

Yes - Liam has done a lot of work on creating the new system this weekend.

Although we get around 12,000 views per month on the news homepage, a lot of you gave us feedback and suggested that you no longer read the news on the basis that it's merely a duplication of what has been posted on the forum within the last fortnight. With the new feature; the idea is that, as and when fleet updates occur, we will update the fleet lists which will in turn automatically update the news page. This will provide a more "live" feel to the news page, which will mean that the news page can hopefully be relied on as a more useful resource to retrieve the latest information. The information will continue to be posted on the forum, but this is mainly where we'll be able to discuss the latest news rather than see it at a glance.

It will allow everything to be updated at the same time so that we have a consistent approach to our updates. At present, I sometimes update the fleet lists before the news update, meaning that one feature is ahead of the other. We won't have this problem under the new system, and it will also reduce the amount of work I have to do.

Liam has mainly focussed on the "behind the scenes" stuff this weekend, and he hopes to give me access to the admin panel at some point today. I'll have to re-create the fleet history section for each vehicle and put it into the new format before we give you access to the fleet lists again, so for the next week or two, the fleet lists that you will see won't be updated. Will be worth it in the long run!

Chances are some of the withdrawn buses have been sold on, it's just not been noted on this forum. 4854's sale certainly wasn't to my recollection.

Sales don't tend to get mentioned on the forum. The first we know of them is when they are posted in a GNE fleet news update on their website.

Wonder if 9119 will also make a few appearances on the TEN? Obviously no boards that finish at Hexham of course through, just Riverside 10a/10b boards and maybe a few evening full 10 boards to Hexham if the bus has a radio fitted.

No, because its there to be trialled on the X9/X10 rather than the TEN services.
