If it is for the 836 - it is a scholars service for Tanfield School. It is a service that operates now.

Just because its the only one which isn't changing on the 11th October, it saves everyone looking for the 6/836, sorry should of being clearer on the post.

Interworking?

448 looks strange, already got 2 services running down there connecting Morpeth, Ashington, Blyth, Newcastle etc.

The 1221 and 1421 from Bedlington terminate at Ashington, then there's a 1300 and 1427 departure to Linton.

I'm going to hazard a guess, no. Judging by the timetable it looks as though it will be the same bus all day, I'm guessing the gap in service at Ashington may be for a drivers break or something like that.

How would that work? There are no changes being made to the 19, so there would be nothing to operate the return departures?
RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes
According to the very reliable jackdriver15:

Some of the changes coming 25th October
New service 6 replaces 43/44 Stanley to Newcastle via Annfield Plain Dipton Tantobie Burnopfield Sunniside Kingsway Whickam Metrocentre
New service 16/16A replaces. 43/44 to Durham, 16 also replaces current V8 to Consett/Castleside running through from Durham
New services V7/V8 replace X43 to Metrocentre and replace 706/707 locally in Stanley
X30 rerouted to Whickam and Dunston
X30/X31 will now run every 15mins
New service X32 Stanley to Newcastle via Ouston, Kibblesworth and Team Valley to Newcastle, morning and afternoon peak times only
V1 on Sunday withdrawn, replaced by new Sunday service15A every hour to Durham via Delves
45/46 are being reorganised to drop an extra bus in so longer layovers can be taken at Consett to help when they run late.

Most of them we already know about, bus the X30 is interesting...

I sense that these changes have been wrongly posted on the public domain. Especially as Dan refused to mention the X66 change when asked because hey havent been posted on the website. Hence why i asked the question.

If we take the X32 as an example at peak times. I'm assuming this would be instead of X30, which may explain the X97 to replace that part of the route? Being a 97/97a during the day

He needs to be careful, i don't think GNE will be happy about drivers telling him info.

Probably not as long as it seems, depending on the route it takes.

If it goes direct via the A693 to Pelton Roundabout, it will take approximately the same amount of time as it takes to Sunniside. Traffic is usually queued on the A6076 due to the traffic lights at Sunniside, so this may avoid some of the congestion there.

Going through Ouston is pretty direct until the roundabout at the bottom of the hill is reached. It'll be interesting to see which route it takes from there. Usually, buses turn right towards Birtley, however, if the bus continues ahead it'll end up intersecting the road between Birtley and Kibby. There are a couple of tight corners on the road and it does narrow in parts but I imagine a smaller bus would be able to manage without any major problems. There won't be much traffic going up the bank to Kibby, or back down to Lamesley Roundabout, but it may encounter a tailback between Lamesley and the Coal House Roundabout. Going through Team Valley should be relatively congestion free as traffic is flowing in the opposite direction.

At peak times, journey time will probably be slightly longer but, bearing in mind what I said about Sunniside as well as the build-up of traffic around Lobley Hill (which often causes tailbacks to Watergate Bank), it won't be by much.

The Versa's on the 34/34a use the road past Bewick Main when running NIS between the valley and Urpeth.
You are right about it being tight in places like.

One point that hasn't been mentioned, if this peak time bus is calling in Kibby. Is this at the expense of an existing service or as well as?

28A?
RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes
This is what I can see happening with the X30/X31/X32 and X97.

X30 - Newcastle - Central Station - Dunston - Whickham - Sunniside - Stanley (every 30 minutes, off-peak times, replacing 98/98A to Dunston)
X31 - Newcastle - Gateshead - Lobley Hill - Sunniside - Stanley (every 30 minutes)
X32 - Newcastle - Team Valley - Kibblesworth - Ouston - Stanley (every 30 minutes peak times)
X97 - Newcastle - Whickham express (every 30 minutes, peak times)

Exactly.

If it is staying, then there is potential overkill through Ouston.
If it is going, then early morning links, are removed.

My gut instinct, is that the X32 will operate something similar to the old 709 or 728 route from Stanley to Ouston, but follow the 28a route between Ouston and Kibby.
Granted it would be slower than the route MurdunoC suggested, but it would mean the peak 28a's can go - but links aren't lost.

Yes, though this is effective from 1st November 2015 (so not associated with the changes to services X30/X31 which are effective from the Sunday prior).

That should put an end to that speculation, eh? Tongue

Apart from the one discussed previously, no.
If my gut instinct is wrong and the peak 28/28a's aren't being withdrawn/changed - that gives a canny little frequency on the Ouston - Kibby - Newcastle section.

It also means Ouston sees at least 3 buses an hour to/from Newcastle.
Not too bad at all!

But not on my photos, I feel so left out!

This is the thing with service changes, sometimes they can be an improvement to some but an inconvenience to others, another example being me with the upcoming changes to the Arriva X66(X67) the people who board the X66 on the North Road - Great Burdon section of the route will go down from a 20 minute service to a half hourly service whereas the people who board at Darlington Town Centre, Stockton and Middlesbrough get an increase of frequency from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes.
