Glad they've finally put WIFI on the X7, hopefully means the numbers go up..... next it needs stop announcements and plugs Wink

Will the Venture Solo SR's ever get WIFI.. seems daft giving it to Indigo and not Venture...

Has the stop announcements being done for Indigo yet?

When the Ventures first came the timetable advertised free WiFi.

I don't think it did?

The Ventures are mostly local services at the moment (different stories when the changes start) so the buses don't need wifi.

Byebye crappy buses. Big Grin

They're 12 years old this year - with only at least 3 years left in service - Dan said GNE wouldn't go for them as they would have to be converted from Duel to Single doors, pointless when they only have a few years left at least.

Anyway, rather have Citaro's than Omncities. Tongue

In all serious, that colour suits the Scania's so much... lets hope they don't spoil it with the brand   Angel

Even though the last lot of brands have being good!

Agreed, it does look quite good on the Scania's although I even liked this colour on the Lambton Worm SPDs.

Just thought I'd throw this in the hat....

Maybe the green Solar's are for the Lambton Worm? With the Versa's going elsewhere?

Exactly what i'm trying to say..........would be pointless to get the Omnicities from London, covert them to single door and do any other modification to make them DDA, if needed... if they only have at least 3 years left in service..

Edit: Missed something off.

You know, good omnicities are wonderful, quirky buses, but old clapped out ones are just old clapped out buses with particularly unstable suspensions. I'm sure the Prince Bishops Solars were as lovely as Pulsars in their day, but these days they just sound like they need to be taken out and shot. I should imagine that Omnicities that have been pounding the streets for the same length of time are much the same, so a major investment wouldn't make good commercial sense.

After all, GNE exists purely to make money by providing bus services that enough people want to use, rather than ones that make a handful of enthusiasts smile.

I'm glad of a few rides on a dual door renown, for example. Powerful buses (and dual doored buses of any flavour are unusual enough to interesting in this part of the world) but really showing their age. If a T reg renown was my regular local bus service, I'd feel mighty peed off and undervalued as a customer, though.

Doubt they would downgrade the 34/34A from Versa to Scania... not sure where the 4 Versas would go...

The Green scania's will be for the new brand for the 97/97A/X97 and branded "Highwayman"... well according to B10man - http://northeastbuses.co.uk/forum/showth...p?tid=1588&pid=130538#pid130538
