Takes around 2 hours, 10 minutes on the X12 between Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
RE: Your Travel Queries
From Newcastle, Stockton work the 0820, 0850, 0920, 1250, 1320, 1350, 1730 (1720 Sat) and 1830 (1825 Sat) from Newcastle to Middlesbrough and the 1800 (1755 Sat) to Durham only.
From Middlesbrough, they are the 1035, 1105, 1135, 1505, 1535 and 1610 (1605 Sat). I won't include the early journeys from Teesside simply because they are too early for people up North to catch
EDIT: Oh, and all Sunday X12s are Pulsars as all trips are worked by Stockton. Not always a MAX example however due to the way the boards work (we'll see what happens once 1404/5 arrive - if they'll be used on Sundays or not due to their X66/X67 branding)

Remember, at any time since this is the X12 will the ordinary vehicles be in operation

Some operators sell the NE Explorer cheaper than the advertised price. I can get them for £9.50 on Arriva.

I usually buy mine on Arriva, and while it took them a week or so longer to register last year's 20p price hike, they've been costing the same as elsewhere all this year.

Closest you can get is on either the 21, X22, X25 or X12 and get off just before the Barley Mow club and walk past Pelaw Grange Greyhound Stadium - the road should follow round into it.
Quite good going to watch the greyhounds race as the ECML runs right behind it so when a race isn't on, i can just sit and watch the trains fly past.

Cheers for that, Robert. Means that I don't have to pay for a Buzzfare or a Day Return on GNE when I can get there on the X12.
Idiots at Parcelforce haven't bothered leaving the parcel with a neighbour or at the Post Office.

Ah right, this map may help. It is a bit of a walk but as i say, the ECML bridge would really provide variety a photostream with it being away from a station (you seem one of those people who aren't station based anyway and i think a few of your photos show that):

Brilliant, thanks Robert.
