Think I posted about this a month or so ago, and someone said that there is an extra run from Newcastle around this time that is allocated a StreetLite?

Maybe it was the same run?
It was around Blyth on the Spine Road about half an hour back if it tallys up with your sighting?

Can't find my post, but yeah that'd be around about the same time as I saw it Smile

There is an extra run that I believe uses a 35 branded StreetLite on an evening between Newcastle and Ashington Bus Station, leaves Haymarket at around 1710.

That is the exact one - the 1710 from Newcastle. Only time a StreetLite gets to work something other than 35s now (they used to work an X15 from Alnwick to Morpeth at 0719 but going off the new timetable, that journey was withdrawn).

What are the timings like to get to Blyth?
Bearing in mind I saw this about 1730, is it possible to do that trip in 20mins?

It's due to leave Regent Centre at 1722 and get to North Seaton Fairfield Drive (the next timing point) at 1749.

That's not the most generous of timetables! Would struggle to do that in the car at times!

I saw the run before in Lynemouth (laying over a few mins early by my timings) and that was an ALX400.
Logic dictates the Streetlite was the short run

Get more time at peaks - during the day they get 24 minutes to do Regent Centre-North Seaton. On an afternoon peak, the 1635 to Alnwick and the short 1720 both get 27 minutes. The morning ones in the opposite direction get 26 minutes.

35D runs light to Newcastle from Woodhorn, working the above mentioned service.

buss14, 7445/7446 are supposed be to either X20 (B7 and DAF ALX400) or the 35, so that is a correct working
