Sure is..! I briefly put it on charge at about half 8 (getting no more than 5 - 10% out of it) but took it off so I could text while watching BGT instead of having to have it plugged in.

I don't seem to have any issues with my battery through the week, however on weekend mornings I like to play pretty battery intensive games for a little bit until I get up, then play music on YouTube while getting ready, so I've got the battery down to about 70% before I've left the house, which is annoying if I'm out all day, as it'll be gone by tea time if I'm using it constantly (checking scores, and NEB obviously  )

For more or less the same price you can purchase either a mid to top end Windows-based laptop or a entry-level Macbook. You could also purchase a top-end tablet which would have many of the same mobile features.

Besides, in a couple of years time the spec of the S6 will be standard in most mobile phones at a fraction of the cost. Plus, all the bugs (if any) will be ironed out by then.

I have the decent laptop and phone (which does everything I need it to and more - Office, emails, apps), with the unlimited data, messages and hundreds of minutes, with change left over.

With being on the road and using my phone as my office, I could have spent a fortune. Not sure what else it would have offered me, apart from fine tuning.

With both phone and laptop being 8.1, the constant syncing between the two, backing up of files, photos and compatibility with apps (once on one device, it can transfer to the other), gives lots of peace of mind.

As a few of you know, I sold my iPhone 6 for a holiday in Tenerife. I am getting a new contract in June so I am looking at deals on the HTC One M9 and the Samsung S6 Edge .

Well, stayed up as long as I could... Body clock isn't used to late nights now!

Currently sitting at 4% and I'm estimated another 25 minutes worth of juice. Phone hasn't been on charge (excluding the aforementioned little bit) for 17 hours and 25 minutes - so you can say I squeezed out 17.5hrs today from 100% down to 0%.

Definitely a smaller battery size but Samsung have worked some magic on things somehow drawing less power from the battery.

That's seriously good, mine turned off at about 11, so even with my small charge I only got 12 hours out of mine, shall see how it goes today  

Got a star at the top of my screen on my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and I have zero clue as to why this has popped up.


Any ideas?

You've switched to only allow priority interruptions on. Hit the volume button and stick it on sound or silent .

Looking to purchase a new mobile, as my Z1 battery seems to drain faster than the bath. I've had it for about two years now, so it's to be expected. I plan to send it in for a warranty repair before my 2 years are completely up, but I'll buy the new phone before I do that.

Current thinking is between the S6, S6 Edge, Xperia Z3+, and Note 4. Does anyone have any other suggestions or any recommendations?

I only have a modest moto G but being dual SIM it can be heavy on the battery at times.

This is a lifesaver and might be worth an investment while you make up your mind. It does come in other colours if gold is too glam.

I've got a bulkier one that charges two USB devices at a time, but my phone battery life really does feel that bad at the moment! I'm pretty much charging it 3x per day at the moment. Thankfully I've got a Lumia 635 through work too, so it's not as if I'm without a phone should it completely die when I'm out and about.

I can do glam though. I may even go for a gold S6

Husband has a bigger one but I'd probably get a stiff neck carrying it around. He keeps his in his car (even though he can charge a phone in the car anyhow)

Sorry I've just seen this. The M4 Aqua looks decent actually. The only thing I'd suggest if you go for it though, is to get a microSD card for it. It's only got 8GB of storage built in, and the OS will use most of that up.

It seems pretty decent. I like the flashlight and it's nice to be back on an Android platform rather than Windows Phone. Don't get me wrong, I liked having a Windows-based operating system, but it's nice to be able to have a large range of apps again.

I'll never be able to master putting on screen protectors though. I've made a complete mess of the one which was supplied with the phone. Still, a couple more are included with the case!

See if you can get a spigen premium screen protector for it. The ones that tend to come free with cases are poor quality and bubble. The spigen one will set you back 5-6 quid, but worth every penny in my opinion.

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact question.

When my phone was updating a few weeks back when the phone was off I got a voicemail. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to listen to the voicemail and my phone keeps notifying me that I have a voicemail and it is really driving me crazy now. Anyone help?

Most phones voicemails can be accessed by long pressing the number 1 and then following the menus from there. If its not been listened to it should come up as unopened, but may of been moved into a saved messages folder.

It'll need to be set on Android. 

Try Settings > Call > Voicemail > Voicemail Settings, and you should be able to enter a number. This will vary, depending on network, but their website should list it for you.

I've phoned my voicemail and it's saying that I have no saved messages when I rang the number but my phone is saying otherwise. No clue what the hell to do!

Try rebooting your phone, and if it comes back, contact your operator. They may be able to reset the message waiting indicator for you.

Finally got rid of it by changing it to receiving texts for voicemails.
