RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2015
Just wondering if there is any possibility of 5293-5297 going to Hexham for the X84/X85 and the Solars going to Riverside for the 57?

Just had reply to my mail to Durham County Council re. New Service 6
Quote from Durham County Council mail:
......... My colleague who was putting the poster out at the bus stop called to advise us of the error this morning.
There was a discrepancy in whether the service 6 serves the Bank Top stops and Go North East have confirmed it is only the 836 school service which stops there.
We are currently changing 600 bus stop posters for Sunday’s bus service revisions, once we have an interval in this workload we will be amending the posters to the correct information.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention
Burnopfield stop on GNE Timetable reads "Burnopfield Post Office" (which no longer exists - as nearest P.O. is at Leazes, so will cause confusion to some,- Leazes is often referred to as part of Burnopfield) Durham County Council refer to this stop as "Front Street" Burnopfield. (Used to be Old Co-op Buildings) but as new Co-op Foodstore is located in the Old Travellers Rest in Leazes end of Burnopfield any reference to Co-op would also be confusing.

EDIT: already reported

Will be back on X9/X10 sometime later this week maybe next but it won't last long me thinks.
Also th yellow mpd 570 maybe?? Its for the Team valley shuttle due to start next week. Its not a spare bus for Riverside as previously reported on here somewhere. It was supposed to be a red MPD for the shuttle but well ya nah...
(22 Oct 2015, 2:38 pm)Dan wrote It hasn't gone back to Percy Main to receive maintenance as far as I know - could we please ensure that all speculation is clearly marked as such?Should just get Scania or ADL E400s for the X21 TBH. If they get Streetdecks, they will be the worst double deck purchase since the Lolyne. Will be interesting if it ends up on a peak time 10B or even a Riverside board that serves Hexham on the 10 if any without having an overnight stop. Would almost certainly not have enough power to get up the A184 incline towards Askew Rd Junction / Redheugh Bridge approach from the Teams without causing a tailback.
To clarify; it was used on the 327 yesterday, and operated straight from Riverside Depot. It has been at Bells near the Team Valley for maintenance all of today, though is out and about on the road again now.
The yellow MPD is 542, and it is indeed a float vehicle to be used on various shuttle services (like 547 at Stanley - presently on the TESCO contract). For the next four months it will see use on the Chowdene Bridge closure shuttle service, though I'd already reported this. I'm not sure where we have got the idea that it was supposed to be a red MPD allocated...
