Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2015

RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - October 2015
The Northern brand itself is great but would be better if the front was branded also. I'll try and find both of them tomorrow to see it with my own eyes then I can make a 'proper' judgement.

It serves it's purpose, and that's the main thing.

It looks good, especially the back.

I saw 6128 in the flesh today, and I agree about the front being a little plain. It's the part of the bus that all of your customers see as it's approaching, so would have been ideal to put something on the front in my opinion.

I quite like what Brighton & Hove do on their upper-deck windscreens (see below). Perhaps some taglines like the ones on the 56 and 309/310 would have worked well.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but 3875 has a pink panel on the driver's side, and it looks horrendous.

It's the little details that make them stand out. Arriva had something similar not that long ago promoting the eco-friendly buses, it also tied in with "Frankenbus" which is used on timetables and promotional material.

Above the wheel arch?
Noticed it earlier. It did stand out a mile like.

Aye, it certainly doesn't look the best!

Could do with having "Northern" on the front, I think because it's the same colour as the corporate livery and the front has nothing to show that it is a "Northern" branded bus and really I think the front of the bus is where the most attention should be drawn to as on most cases it's the part of the bus you are most likely to see.

3874 has returned to Stanley depot and is being used. It was parked up in Stanley Bus Station earlier today.

He's right 4917 is one of the worst ones along with 5160.

5160 still on road, used around metrocentre if anyone wants last photo, not in service though
