(02 Dec 2015, 5:27 am)Dan wrote Each depot has their own version of that display programmed. They've had this sort of stuff for months but it has been 'hidden' in the programme until recently. All of the various brand names and such are now at the start of the list under '0' - it's amazing how many drivers use them!
The depot ones are quite basic but good for the drivers who are more enthusiastic about having pride in their depot. I noticed it was used during the ITV News filming re Quality Contracts last month.

(02 Dec 2015, 10:57 am)Dan wrote The old "Bus Full" display was never intended to be used on normal service work: it was intended for Great North Run Baggage Buses. Because it was being mis-used, it was taken out of the programmes at the back end of 2013.
Looking at the image below - would you be in a position to confirm which service this bus was operating? Whilst the likelihood is that the bus would have been operating service 700, the service for which the vehicle is branded, there is a slight chance that the vehicle may have been allocated to the wrong service. A greater problem would arise if a corporate liveried vehicle used this display whilst operating a branded service - if it was on a shared corridor, how would customers know that bus not stopping due to being full is actually their service as opposed to another?

The alternative would of course be to set up a "Bus Full" display which includes the route number of each service. However; if the traffic commissioner is stood on the Tyne Bridge looking for vehicles operating service 21 to Newcastle, they will be looking for a bus with that on the destination, not "21 Bus Full". This is also the reason why drivers shouldn't change their destination before they have passed the final stop prior to the terminus (ie drivers on service 21 changing their destination to 'Durham' at Gateshead, heading into Newcastle). In the eyes of the traffic commissioner, that scheduled service to Newcastle wouldn't have operated.

Because of the update, the FAB 57 tab has gone.
(02 Dec 2015, 12:47 pm)BJ10VUS wrote I quite like that, although in my opinion they could have used shades of blue for the circles, instead of the orange.
(02 Dec 2015, 12:50 pm)Michael wrote Me too, i thought the 57 would become the FAB 57 again.
I think they've used the blue so people don't get confused with the 58.
(02 Dec 2015, 12:55 pm)BJ10VUS wrote It makes sense, with the 57 having been blue previously. However, the "Diamond" Citaros were orange to start with, but I reckon they'd have probably needed a repaint before going on the 57 anyway.

In regards to the "Bus Full" blind being used, at least one of the 700s that I would see on a morning would have that displayed. That could have been the 35 or anything, so its good that the blind is no longer used.

The brand is a good idea however the 57 like the 58 doesn't connect two cities... it can debated whether its the right brand name for the routes.
Citylink sounds better for the 56, as it links two cities.
