No, those vehicles, along with Stanley's 5160, will not be modified and are currently in a reserve role and will need to be withdrawn by 1st January 2016.

When it says 'For other buses between South Shields, Whitleas Way and Jarrow Town Centre...' it says service 26 instead of 27.

It's actually not been updated for a very long time by the looks of it, as the 26 used to run to Jarrow a couple of years ago. Plus, the 27 doesn't serve York Avenue. Either way, it needs changing!

It has only been done recently, as the NHS contract finished a few weeks ago.

It's now a spare bus and will be used on various contracts in the future similar to 542 and 547.

In other news, 8270 has now entered service at Washington and is on service 82 today.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2015
Since that is what it will be used for now, can it not come to Stanley and replace 547 since the Tesco contract looks as if it is going to be in the hands of GNE for a while? If not now, once these new solos arrive, i'm almost certain one MPD (hopefully 618/619) will come to Stanley to relieve 547.

563 would suit Tesco logos on it.

When it says 'For other buses between South Shields, Whitleas Way and Jarrow Town Centre...' (York Avenue in this instance) it says service 26 instead of 27.

It looks like the error in the 5 timetable occurred when service 9 replaced service 26. Service 26 should have been deleted when the short 9 was started but it is still showing.
Therefore older versions of the timetable would have shown 9, 26, 88 & 88A serving York Avenue and the current version should refer to 9, 88 & 88A.

Due to an RTA between three motorcycles east of main A187 roundabout, buses diverted via A187, A193 and Percy Main Metro to North Shields.

Can't say I'm entirely surprised - I was on it earlier, and it didn't half sound unhealthy!

Aye haha. I'll have mixed feelings, alhough they've seen better days, when they were first new they were allocated to my old local routes. Same with Merits, but I like them (Well, apart from 8262 & 8266).

What time do services 6 and X70/X71 start interworking? Is it just when the times that are more consistent throughout the day start (ie. the times per hour that go on to be used for the 'Every xx mins. at...until' bit)?
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2015
Random question, Does Saltmeadows open during Christmas, on the days which aren't a bank holiday, so the likes of the 27th December?

I think it's just during the week (And possibly Saturdays) it's open. I could be wrong though.

Doesn't matter, when looking at the timetables side by side, the riddle is practically solved.
