(27 Jan 2016, 8:47 pm)a718abb wrote D'vels or dyvels is geordie slang for devils. If you look at the sign outside the pub, there are two black devils on top of it. So i would say that GNE have the pronounciation correct.

The pub derives its name from the nearby Devils Water (stream that run into the Tyne), but I assure you that everyone in and around Corbridge calls it the Die-vels - not the Divvels (as per Geordie vernacular).

Just in case anyone is tempted to visit the Dyvels - it is currently gutted, having been flooded to a depth of 5 feet on 5th December (along with all the houses on Station Road).

I will happily pay my 60p more on GNE (vs Arriva) on the Angel if you get rid of Steve and Karen.

Anyone remember the original screens when they were used for ads (believe the 724 Geminis and the pink tridents had had them) where they showed adverts (ironically for trip n slip solicitors and visit Sunderland/Durham and the odd fostering ad)

As its windy and everything is flying everywhere, things are going to break... just like how a telephone line whipped around and took a rear window out of Arrivas 7529 on the X18 this morning...

Why do you have to post massive photos anyway, it takes an age to scroll.

You aren't. The only Loop to be branded for service 97 (and others) is 5218.

5221 isn't tacho fitted. At least according to the company's official fleet allocation it's not.

4941, 4944, 4949, 4966, 4967, 5227 and 5228 are the Riverside Solars with a tacho fitted. In addition to that, 4918, 4921, 5235 and 5391, could also be used.

Likewise, albeit only with recent orders in the last few years. We all know 6071 has one from when it saw a lot of use on the TTX previously. I believe 6056 on the Angel has one too. Not sure about the Streetlites on the Coast & Country and Red Kite.

Hello! First time contributor, though Ive long thought this is a great platform for discussion with some interesting debate.

Apologies if this has been previously discussed; does anybody know why 4973's branding for the X35 was changed at some point from 'every 30 minutes' to 'every 60 minutes'. I'm certain this route has been essentially the same since 2006!
