been at washington for 11 years and wouldnt dream of moving to any other depot!

the information about the 5's/50's has been confirmed and route learning will be starting next month!

once the 50 arrives at South Shields we'l be changing to a 5 to Jarrow and back to Shields where we will resume back out as a 50 back towards washington!
its UNconfirmed but there talking about interducing a 82B which will go from birtley, not go through barley mow estate but once it get's to vigo bridge turn right & go through Rickleton!

Like the old 83 that they got rid of? Angel

Welcome Steve

With the 5/50s being confirmed, will that also confirm the transfer of the 88/88A to Riverside? And also will the Versas transfer with the 88?

I can't see them taking the Versa's of the 88/88A.

More likely now:

The Omnicities moving from the 19 to the 5/50/50A.

The 5 B7RLE's to Percy Main for the 19.

With the proposed changes to the 82/82A and what will be the 82B, this is obviously going to lead to a rise in the PVR.... What could be used?

Na i know i said it won't happen yesterday but now with the 5/50 confirmed to be moving and inter-working - it would make sense.

Where would you actually go on the 19? As you live in the Jarrow area?

I'm fine with the OmniCitys on the route as they are rather comfortable for the long distance routes like the 19, I think we've gathered that a certain couple of members have a dislike to them. (yawn, yawn, yawn)

I live in Newton Aycliffe and I've done pretty much the whole 19 route!

You're seriously going to use the 19 to go and use the 434 and the school service 448 that will leave you nowhere near a GNE route when it finishes in the afternoon?

Mad.........

Don't know how he'd use the 448 on a school day, especially when he should be at school. Mind there's always them daft teacher training days for that!

(08 Feb 2016, 11:18 pm)GMitchelhill wrote Actually the B7RLE would be pretty good for the 19 especially since they have a good turn of speed.

They would work well.

Only way i can see the 5/50 become fully omnicity is to take the Omnicities away from the 19.

Still think they should merge the routes, least then they can stick to the brand, they'll probables change it when they start to interwork.

Quick question
Why do GNE have vans just for driver changeovers
Wouldnt it not be cheaper to do what stagecoach do and just get cars. Cheaper tax and proberly cheaper insurance.
