Why do we keep getting suggestions for services to Crook? If GNE were to do a service from there it would probably be commercial suicide, the current X46 is just a dead run back to the depot from Durham and has carried pretty much fresh air everytime I've seen it.

The one that Michael did the other day was a good suggestion I like that idea

From my experience it was pretty quiet, although some journeys were quite heavily used. It wasn't really much use for commuters with the first journey from Hebburn at around 10, and the final from Newcastle at about half past 4.

An unlikely one due to dead millage (possible X7 interworking) but from operated from peterlee:

North Tees Hospital.

I'm aware of this shuttle; though it's a poorly advertised service which requires pre-booking with an irregular timetable and priority is given to NHS staff. Being left behind is a real risk!

Also people aren't likely to be traveling from Hartlepool Hospital direct to North Tees. The reality is they're going from their homes, the suggested route runs through much of the town to reach the A689 and could pick up en route. I believe it could also pick up some 36 passengers fed up going the 'long way' through Hartlepool and Greatham. Plus a fast link between Billingham and Stockton.

I'm not sure the extra passengers gained would outweigh the ones who would ditch the bus for the train for it taking so long! Also the justification of 2 extra buses in the PVR

Yeah but you'd be going down from two fast buses an hour to one, having two buses an hour is probably something that makes the X9/X10 a more attractive option than the train which runs hourly and takes roughly the same length of time as the X9/X10, if you were to change the X10 to take nearly two hours (although the X9 would stay the same) it may be enough for people to choose the train over the X9/X10. Also adding 25 minutes to the route would mean that the times wouldn't match up, you would end up with the X10 having to leave either Newcastle or Middlesbrough at the same time as the X9. Also passengers in Stockton and Norton would not have the alternative of the fast bus to Newcastle as the X9 runs via Billingham, plus I'm assuming this would be the Sunday route as well which would take 2 hours and that's not including layover times, this suggestion would probably come very close to the maximum number of hours a driver can do without a break on a route with a tachograph and on this route where if something goes wrong on the A19 and heavily delays the service, it may be unable to complete the journey.

Your making things worse for the company a recipe for disaster even the old N-1 Rocket had better success and that didn't have any success as it blew up every time it launched thus only 5 were launched all failed so I agree with Jimmi on this one yet again your suggestions are pointless

Agreed 1 hour and 20 minutes is long enough plus PVR would increase and passengers will drop and worse it won't work so your right it is a recipe for disaster

X9 takes the same amount of time as the current X10 today X9 is hourly and both them services will only work if you leave them be drivers are happy the way they are right now

Go North East's last crack at that area didn't end well, so I'd imagine this would likely meet the same fate. Also the 7 is supported by Durham County Council so I don't think it would be commercially viable, also you'd struggle to compete with Arriva, especially between Darlington and Shildon especially if it ran on a hourly frequency.
