An Omnicity I believe

Seems a pretty poor reason, the StreetLite's aren't designed for that route. I've used the X18 every other Sunday for the past year and a half, I've never seen a failed Omnicity on the 418, also the 418 is generally on time when its been allocated an Omnicity, however majority of the time I see a StreetLite its running late...

StreetLites are more reliable, if a OmniCity breaks down between Alnwick and Berwick, it causes more hassle to get there, with getting to a breakdown taking over an hour in a bus.

And the OmniCitys aren't reliable either... one was taken off the X14 recently with the suspension sky high, it's not worth the risk sending them further north than Alnwick on a Sunday, where resources are at a minimum.

I'm sure it would be if the Streetlites weren't, pretty much, to the same specification to the Omnicities.

I worked the last 26A on that board today. All Pulsar allocation on a Sunday now, not a single Scania was out from Darlington today.

Oh dear! This of course means the advertised features are not being provided. Sad

Imagine when the X75/X76 get launched as MAX, the Sunday X75's will continue to be allocated Frequenta Solos.

Particular reason why 2857 was on the 21 this afternoon?

So instead, they'll use a 35-branded StreetLite on the service, which is limited to 50(?) mph. Makes perfect sense. Don't think I'd like to be a passenger on that.

If the branded vehicle is available, that should be used. How confusing is it going to be for people in Berwick seeing a Newbiggin - Morpeth branded bus?

How confusing is it if a bus with "quick links to Newcastle" or "X14 Newcastle Morpeth Thropton" turns up Tongue

At least Newcastle is on the route, and they'll be used to seeing a 'MAX' vehicle.

For the other 6 days of the week the 418 is operated by Travelsure. The only non Perrymans buses running on Sundays north of Alnwick are the Arriva X18 and 418 so there's very little chance of confusion.

Having said that Ashington's streetlites are on other routes so often at the moment they may as well remove the route branding from them anyway. I also wouldn't want to be restricted to 50 mph on a late running service going up or down the A1. It could be somewhat frustrating.

Due to scanias constantly breaking down? Mr Pottski won't be long before the remaining gas buses end up on there

2x 1B
2x 2
3x 5A
3x 21

Then possibly 3 for X66/26A have all out of town service operated by gas bus apart from the 8s

The answer as to why 2857 was on the 21 is Mr Pottski broke 4811, the doors were playing up, mr Pottski always breaks stuff at Darlington so he's getting the blame again

I think there's been 3 full service days in a row with a pulsar on the 22 in addition to 1595, now. Been trying to work out what's missing but the only one I'm certain I've not seen in that time is 1599. 1598 might be the other one. It's been sounding rough.
