Quick question why do the tynedale links solos not have NSAs? I'm sure there will be a good reason just curious.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2016
Had a trip to Bishop on the X21 today, outward on 6306 returning on 6301 on arriving at the University Hospital of N.Durham the announcement and visual display both said Dryburn Hospital, on the return however the announcement was for the University Hospital etc but the visual display was not working, I also noticed the Dryburn announcement on 6303 and 6304 last week.
The stop at Clifford Terrace in Chester Le Street comes over as Cliffords Terrace  on the announcements .

Sometimes the names of the actual stops are historical. There's various "post office" stops on our local route, where a post office used to be, as well as "Crossways Hotel" which is actually now a rather nice, if overly crowded for the target market, little housing development.

The fact that Emma calls the Coral bookmakers stop at CLS "Corals" always makes me smile. I'd like to think that, if she does the announcements for any uses stopping at an ASDA, she'll call it ASDA's Smile

I can't speak for Go North East, but I can imagine that with the "hail and ride" sections of many of the Tynedale routes, especially the 74, it probably wasn't worth it for some.

They probably wouldn't retrofit the MPDs and wit some routes being hail & ride and VERY rural they may lose GPS signal. On another note 8312's NSAs are not working

I work for Coral, myself along with other staff and customers usually say Corals.

Just passing saltmeadows seems the green north Tyne links are in for paint job. Possibly red possibly off to Deptford like most of them back where they started life.
I've noticed 542 on the 38 recently and it's still that horrible yellow colour. Will it ever go red? Or be sold on?
Roadworks inside saltmeadows what's happening??

Would imagine 566, 567, 568, 569 will go red and probables replace 542, 547, 548, with 549-554 all withdrawn, as that's only 8 MPD's so not sure if other MPD's will be withdrawn.

It should do both.

University Hospital of North Durham is this stop:

Durham - Dryburn Hospital is this stop:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/54%C...!1s0x0:0x0

It may be that the stops are too close together for it to do the audio announcement for the second stop, in each direction. The visual display will scroll 'University Hospital of North Durham' the once, as it approaches, given that the stop name is too long to be static.

The audio announcement for Clifford Terrace is definitely singular rather than plural, and all marketing documents (ie timetables etc) refer to the stop as 'Corals' plural, hence why it is like this on the Next Stop Announcements.

549 is the MPD being repainted red at Saltmeadows Rd. Also joined by OmniCity 5245, going blue like 5243/44.

The 'roadworks' are water works being conducted on site.

I thought it would of been a direct withdrawal with no repaint... it seems they are smarting them up to sell them on for more money. Tongue

Are the Tynedale Links Solo Sr's still entering service tomorrow?

All of the "Red Arrows" branded Volvo B9TLs are going to Riverside to receive modifications as part of a group project (which is also why 6040 is in use at Washington as a float vehicle). 6007 is the latest example to go for said modifications.

6006 has also been repainted red and is the first example to receive the new "Red Arrows" branding. It should return to service tomorrow, as it's now back at Washington.

It's being allocated to services as and when required, like the other ex-Prontos. 6034 was kept spare at Deptford until at least 12 noon today - unsure if it had to go out on the afternoon.

I think it's most commonly being allocated to the miscellaneous works board discussed the other day - the one which does scholars and a Team Valley workers service, but also does a morning/evening X1 and a Follingsby Park short 82.

I saw 6034 in Durham Bus Station at around 15:35 last night, presumably there to run the 15:45 265 to Seaham.

It suffered a mechanical fault yesterday morning whilst operating service 9, and was taken out of service, later in the afternoon I saw it leaving Sunderland N.I.S.

Deptford run a peak time 265 from Framwellgate Moor using a Decker, Though I'm unsure to what time it starts maybe around 5 ish.
Or is it Chester that do that run?

Deptford do the 15:45 265 Durham Bus Station - Seaham Byron Place run.

As far as I'm aware, the 16:15 265 Durham Bus Station - Seaham Byron Place run is operated by Chester-le-Street depot. This run starts at Framwellgate Moor at 16:07 on school days.
